Many times I see patients at the clinic with a very long and overwhelming list of health concerns. It can be confusing to know where to start? But after 20 years of practicing, I have learned that the most effective approach is to start with the health of our gut. Our digestive tract is the root cause of many of our health problems. After all 96% of our immune system is located in our digestive tract.
The colon is one of the vital organs, and sadly one of the most neglected. Most people share the common false impression that the bowel is a self-cleansing organ in the body. In an ideal world, our diet will comprise of mostly high fiber food such as fruits and vegetables. However, in reality this is sadly not the case. In a busy lifestyle, we mostly consume more meat protein and processed food with little fiber content that can cause clogging and toxicity in our gut. A poor and unbalanced diet can aggravate digestion and increase the toxic wastes that are precursors of colon problems and diseases in other organs of elimination in the body, such as the liver and kidneys.
Since the colon acts as the sewage system of the human body, it is quite important to keep it in a particularly good condition. A healthy well-functioning bowel is essential for the health of the skin, digestive tract, vitality, clarity of mind and more.
Colon hydrotherapy treatments AKA colonics are a safe and gentle infusion of water in the rectum for cleansing and corrective function. At our clinic we only use warm filtered water with absolutely no drugs or chemicals during these procedures. The purpose is to flush accumulated fecal waste, harmful bacteria, intestinal parasites, gas and mucous that are causing toxicity and therefore disease.
Colonics not only cleanse your colon but also your liver. It is a great way to rejuvenate your immune system. You don’t need to be constipated to benefit from a colonic. Some of the symptoms that can benefit from this treatment are the following: constipation, gas, bloating, diarrhea, leaky gut syndrome, IBS, difficulty losing weight, bad breath, bad body odour, candida or parasites, dark circles under eyes, headaches, and even depression and anxiety.
