Are you trying to lose weight naturally and don’t want to rely on medication? The good news is that your body can do it on its own!

Everybody has heard of Ozempic (or Ozempic-type drugs), and in fact, you may even know someone who has lost weight with these types of drugs already.  I get a lot of patients who want to lose weight but don’t want to take these medications either because they are worried about the short-term or long-term side effects, or simply because they worry that when they stop the medication, the weight will just come back.  Let’s face it, there are no long-term safety studies on this class of weight loss drugs. These medications stimulate a receptor called GLP-1.  However, there are natural ways to stimulate the same receptor.  This way, you can still get the benefit of the appetite regulation and weight loss effects without injecting your body with potentially harmful drugs. Remember, Ozempic plays a key role in controlling appetite because it delays gastric emptying.  They also help balance blood sugar and improve metabolism.
